the greater des moines partnership

GREATER DES MOINES - The Partnership has been working diligently throughout the past year to develop new digital marketing tools to promote Greater Des Moines and Central Iowa. The Partnership strives to be at the forefront of today’s technology and works diligently to find the most efficient way to market the region. Today, the Partnership is proud to announce the development of an Economic Development mobile tool, a brand-new Prospect Book, and Prospect Packet.

The Economic Development mobile tool has been created by local startup company, Entrepreneurial Technologies, as a tool to provide users with a snapshot of Greater Des Moines. The tool will educate users on Greater Des Moines’ business climate, rankings, key industries, economic development news, and companies that choose to do business in the region.

The mobile tool can be viewed on any mobile device by simply opening an internet browser and typing in prospect.desmoinesmetro.com. The user does not have to log into iTunes, Google Play or any type of app store. To create an icon like other apps, when on the site go to the device menu and select “Add to Home Screen” or “Add Shortcut to Home.” Some mobile devices will require the user to “Add Bookmark” and then go into the bookmarks and “Add to Home Screen.”

To complement the mobile tool, the Partnership has also created an electronic Prospect Book. The book was created in-house with iBooks and allows the Partnership to provide users with a more interactive experience. The book is an attractive piece that features touch technology, videos, and interactive maps to provide an in-depth understanding of the local business climate as well as programs and services the Partnership provides.

With the new book, the Partnership has also put together an entirely new approach to the Prospect Packet, which is distributed on 10-12 marketing trips, trade shows, and additional one-on-one meetings throughout the year. The new packet includes a vibrant photo of the region, key industry information, rankings and business updates, and a web key. The new, updated format reduces paper, mailing, and production costs. The web key is pre-loaded with the web address for the Prospect Book. Prospective clients can insert the key into a USB port on their desktop computer, to access and/or download the Prospect Book.
