The National Academies is releasing its report on research parks on Sept. 22 at the Capitol Visitors Center, and Senator Pryor of Arkansas will be speaking as will I on behalf of AURP. Also noticed that the Information Technology and Innovation Foundation will be having a session on the morning of Oct. 7 in DC on enhancing role of universities in innovation in case you didn't see this.

American universities play an important role in spurring technological innovation, job creation and U.S. economic competitiveness. But they can do more, especially if the federal government makes a more concerted effort to help universities commercialize and transfer new technologies.
