Adv. Nava Swersky Sofer, an entrepreneur and expert in the fields of technology and innovation, has been appointed by Prof. Uriel Reichman as Managing Director of IDCBeyond, the new innovative flagship program at Adelson School of Entrepreneurship at IDC Herzliya. Building on IDC’s unique entrepreneurial record, IDCBeyond is designed to empower participants to develop and launch innovative ventures that apply exponential technologies to help solve 21st century global challenges in the fields of technology, sustainability, globalization and bio-medicine
Adv. Swersky Sofer has over 25 years of international experience as an entrepreneur and manager, an investor in venture capital and an expert in the fields of innovation and technology commercialization in three continents. Adv. Swersky Sofer is a member of international forums for innovation and technology promotion, a directorate member of several companies and the former president and CEO of Yissum, the technology commercialization company of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
Resembling Singularity University and Y-Combinator, the unique curriculum of IDCBeyond will include an interdisciplinary training in the fields of technology, biomedicine, globalization and sustainability, ideation process and the establishment of world changing initiatives with the assistance of leading mentors from academia and industry. IDCBeyond is a year-long academic program, intended for an exclusive team of BA holders (at least) with unique and pioneering thinking, a strong passion for entrepreneurship and with background in the fields of science and medicine, engineering, computer science, business administration, design, architecture and a wide spectrum of fields from Israel and all over the world.
IDCBeyond, which will be inaugurated in October 2016, has been initiated by Prof. Uriel Reichman, President and Founder of IDC Herzliya with the assistance of Prof. Yair Tauman, Dean of Adelson School of Entrepreneurship and Dr. Yossi Maaravi, Academic Director of IDCBeyond. The program is considered first of its kind in the world. Its uniqueness derives from the integration of an academic curriculum in the fields of technology, biomedicine, globalization and sustainability alongside a track of initiative establishment from the very first phase. At the end of the program, exceptional initiatives will participate in an accelerator and will be rewarded access to venture capital funds and exceptional networking in order to elevate their initiatives. Through the entire program, participants will be supported work closely with leading industry mentors.
