A robotic fish that's capable of mimicking the rapid movements of a real fish could be swimming alongside schools of live fish in coral reefs by the summer, said MIT researcher Daniela Rus. Rus, who spent about two years helping design and build the robot, said plans are for it to record the activity of a school of fish in shallow reef environments.
