In the 1950s and ’60s, researchers were curious to find out if there was a correlation between intelligence, creativity and high-performance. At the time, psychologist Ellis Paul Torrance was conducting a series of tests on children’s intelligence and creative abilities. They were challenged to do things like make an improvement to a toy so that other kids might like it more.
