A neural network called GFP-GAN (Generative Facial Prior-Generative Adversarial Network) restores your old and damaged photos with impressive speed and accuracy. Engineers at MIT and NREL have developed a heat engine with no moving parts that is as efficient as a steam turbine. Their new demonstrations show that it converts heat to electricity with over 40 percent efficiency — a performance better than that of traditional steam turbines.
